PEEPERS – CAUTION

This is set so that the key can be pulled out with no force. Do not apply excessive force to remove it. Pulling the key out rapidly could result in loss of balance and falling off the fender.

Before closing the Peepers seal plate, clean any dirt off the tapered parts of the frame and the seal plate, and other areas which may have concrete stuck to them, etc. Damage, corrosion, and leakage could result from failure to clean.

The slot in the frame, into which the slide plate fits, has a slot or pin attached to prevent the plate dropping out. Check that the end of the slide plate has gone past the pin. Be sure to check the above before driving the concrete mixer truck. The seal plate could drop off while the truck is moving, potentially causing a major accident.
After you attach the slide plate, check that it is securely fastened. If it is not, mortar or other moisture may leak out while the truck is in motion.

During step 4, concrete that was stuck to the back of Peepers can flake off. If that happens, the seal plate could drop off. Be sure to hold the slide plate in place while you work.

Determining the installation position: The effective installation position for this product depends on the purpose of use.
Also, if there are blades mounted inside the drum, even if it appears from the outside that all blades are in equivalent positions, the effect of this product may be completely different due to variations in blade position. Consult carefully and understand the situation before you install.

Before welding or cutting, prepare the periphery of the weld flange with non-flammable protective sheet and wet rags. This preparation can prevent scorching of paint by spatter and heat.

When installing Peepers near the outlet of a 4t or 5.5t truck, Peepers may come into contact with the rear of the operation levers above the step on the right side. If such contact occurs, relocate the operation levers.

If the weld flange distorts, it can distort the Peepers frame when it is fastened with bolts, so the seal plate will not fit. Take the utmost care to install the weld flange without distorting it.

If there is play between the weld flange and the frame, an excessive attempt to fasten it with bolts will stop the seal plate from fitting. Fit the accessory crescent-shaped packing to the gap, insert it appropriately into the gap between the flange and the frame, and only tighten the bolts after play has been eliminated.

After you finish work in which Peepers was used, and before you start driving, confirm that the cover is securely fastened to the frame, and that the handle key is stored in the regulation position. If you drive with the Peepers cover or the special Peepers handle key forgotten on the concrete mixer truck, they will fall off onto the road and could cause a serious accident.

While the mixer drum is turning, projecting parts of Peepers could catch on a worker’s belt or buckle, a button of their work clothing, or elsewhere, and cause a serious accident. Keep away from Peepers while the mixer drum is turning. Also make sure that no other workers are nearby.

Other than when it is needed, stop the engine before you start work, remove the ignition key, and take appropriate measures to make sure no third party can mistakenly start the engine and cause the drum to start turning unexpectedly. There is the risk of getting entangled in the drum.

Check that there are no people near the drum when you are running it. You should also keep at least 1m away, to avoid entanglement.
Do not climb on top of the drum to work. Even if the engine is not running, the drum can still start turning suddenly. You could fall from the top of the drum.
